With Version 1.0.0 Filr now supports the usage of external files instead of uploaded ones from the uploader.
Edit a file or create a new one and activate “Use external source instead.” in the metabox called “File Management”:
Then save the file and you will see the difference. The uploader is gone and instead you get an URL field to add the link to the external ressource:
External File Size
Due to the fact, that the file was not uploaded within Filr, we don’t know the file size. That’s why you can find a new setting called “External File Size” under File Management:
Take a look at the result and you should see your external file within your library:
